If you are interested in commissioning an original painting, I would love to work with you! Here are a few bits of information to help understand the process a little better:
I can work from any photo or picture that gives you inspiration. In the past I’ve worked on commissions from photos of athletes, musicians, movie characters, and animals, but I’m always excited about trying something new as well!
Often clients will identify a piece that they like in particular. We can use that as a reference todiscuss exactly how you’d like your piece to be the same or different, in order to create your own unique and meaningful piece. For example, if you are looking through my portfolio and see the painting “Monsier Lapadite”, you may be a fan of the style but want your own favourite person or character depicted. Not a problem! Or maybe you’re a fan of “Grizzly Bear” but you’d like it in a grey/blue colour palette to suit your wall. We can definitely make that happen!
I can add and subtract ideas, styles, and techniques from any of the paintings I’ve done in the past, and work with you to create your own custom painting that you love.
I will email with you as the painting evolves, and send photos during the painting process as requested. This allows for open communication about the artwork, so that you feel comfortable all along the way.
The process can differ on a case-to-case basis but we will ALWAYS make it work to ensure you are completely happy with your finished painting.
